1. Halo set

The halo set is a convenient way to work with few chosen halos.
How to use the halo set:
  • Open the halo center.
  • Select only halos related to the current task.
  • Arrange selected halos.
  • Change current halo with the "Show next halo from halo set" shortcut - so called cycling the halo set.
How to include a halo in the halo set:
  • Open the halo center.
  • Scroll the table with halo records.
  • Select the checkbox at the left side of the halo name.
How to exclude a halo from the halo set:
  • Open the halo center.
  • Scroll the table with halo records.
  • Unselect the checkbox at the left side of the halo name.
Examples:
  • Layout objects: select crosshairs, vertical and horizontal rulers, one or more grilles.
  • Read text: select few reading lines. Change halos to experiment with line thickness and color.
  • Presentation: select a thick reading line for text,
    a large circle halo to surround important areas
    and a big arrow or very small ring to indicate the exact location on the screen.
  • Fun time: select your funny halos and cycle them.

2. Drive the halo set from myPoint menu

  • Open myPoint menu.
  • Ensure the halo module is enabled.
  • Click on "Show next from halo set" buttons until you get the right halo.
  • Click on "Toggle current halo visibility" item when the task is finished.

3. Drive the halo set via keyboard

  • Ensure the halo module is enabled.
  • Use the "Show next halo from halo set" hotkey until you get the right halo.
    Default hotkey is ⌃⌥⌘ /.
  • Use the "Toggle current halo visibility" hotkey to show or hide the halo.
    Default hotkey is ⌥⌘ /.

4. Halo gallery

The online halo gallery contains more free for download halos. We are updating it with new halos constantly. Even more you can request a specialized halo and we will post it in the Requested section.
Open myPoint menu and click on the "Online halo gallery" item, or from inside the Halo center click on the "Gallery" button:

5. Import a halo from the gallery

Open the halo gallery. Navigate through pages - there is an index at the top of each page.
By default the gallery background is white. Hover the mouse over an image to preview it on a black background.
Click on an image to preview it in a bigger size. Do not be surprised by this size - later you'll be able to reduce it via Size-slider in halo center.
Note: the "import without preview" checkbox has to be unselected.
Click on the "Import halo" button. The halo will be imported. It will be engaged automatically if the halo module is enabled.
Note: the name of the imported halo will be appended at the end of the halo list in halo center.
